My Favorite Post-Impressionists

All right, so there are a few Post-Impressionists: Signac, Gaugin, Van Gogh, just to name a few. But what I want to know is who your favorite is! Vincent Van Gogh is probably one of my most favorite painters ever. He has those thick, swirly globs of paint sitting there, crusty on the canvas. It's like a little piece of him came out with every brushstroke. I feel his writhing emotional pain every time I look at one of his paintings. I have a deep respect for that sort of expression. It must have been painful for him every step of the way. He gave birth to each one of his paintings. Sooooo...

Here is what I want to know:

*Who is your favorite Post-Impressionist? Tell me why.
*Maybe you don't have a favorite artist, but you have a favorite painting. Above, is one of my favorites. Tell me what you think.
*P.S. - I think this blog thing might be fun. :)

You chose a wonderful painting. The room tells us so much about the man. The loneliness, the isolation, and the supreme ability to give inanimate objects vividness and life. If your'e interested in more background information on Van Gogh his true psychological condition and especially the horrific year he spent at the insane asylum of St. Remy, check out my website www.THEEYESOFVANGOGH.com
